Mr. Stivin Aloyce Nchimbi is currently a Ph.D. student in Information and Communication Science and Engineering specializing in Information Technology System Development and Management (ITSDM) at Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) located in Arusha, Northern Tanzania. He also possesses a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSc Comp Sc.) from St Augustine University of Tanzania and Master of Business Administration in Information Technology Management (MBA-ITM) from Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
Since 2009 to date, he has worked as ICT Specialist and Head of ICT Department at the Ministry of Works, Transport and Communications specializing on ICT infrastructures and ICT applications to support the business processes within the Government. Recently, Mr. Nchimbi have been working on using ICT in modelling and implementing the solutions to support engagement among smallholder farmers in realizing the economic value of their effort. The project takes advantage of mobile phone adoption in agriculture supply chain by integrating and optimizing transport from small yields to meet the full truckload requirement, minimizing the middlemen interference while linking farmers to markets. He has received number national and international funds to facilitate innovative ICT projects.
