Dr. Didace Ndahimana is a Lecturer and Acting Head of Department of Food Science and Technology, College of Agriculture and Food Sciences at the University of Rwanda (UR). He holds a PhD Degree in Food and Nutrition from Gangneung-Wonju National University in South Korea (obtained in 2018), a MSc Degree in Nutrition Policy from Senghor University in Egypt (obtained in 2009) and a BSc Degree in Dairy Science and Technology from Alexandria University in Egypt (obtained in 2007). He is fluent in English and French in addition to Kinyarwanda as mother tongue. At the University of Rwanda, Dr. Didace’ responsibilities include teaching, research and community outreach. On the teaching aspect, he has been teaching different courses in the area of human nutrition. His research works have included the use of doubly labelled water (DLW) method determine energy expenditure and body composition and physical activity measurement, assessment of nutrients as well as validation of energy prediction models. Dr. Didace Ndahimana has authored eleven articles in peer-reviewed journals in the area of human nutrition. Currently, he is involved in various research and innovation projects in the area of food and nutrition.
