Dennis Sedem Ehiakpor (PhD) is an Agricultural Economist, Agribusiness development professional and a researcher with the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences, University for Development Studies, Tamale. Dennis has published on diverse agricultural development issues such as technology adoption, climate smart agriculture and participation of farmers in financial markets. Based on his conviction that research must go beyond borders and be integrated into public discourse to affect national policy, he has of late focused on commercialization and institutionalization of ICT into agriculture and gender decomposition analysis. Before joining UDS, Dennis had worked with development partners and consulted for FAO, USAID, DFID and CIDA.
Dennis has extensive experience in conducting impact baseline and evaluation studies, facilitating private sector investment into selected agricultural values chains, development of indicators and results measurement, development of supply chains for agro processing firms, organizational assessment and development of interventions for improvement in the performance of agribusinesses and the linkages of producers to viable markets.
