Dr. Innocensia John is an economist with the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business of the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She previously worked with the Michigan state University under the Alliance of African Partnership, where she built networks and collaboration with Agroecologist focusing on Agro-economic systems in Malawi and Tanzania. Innocensia is also an associate researcher (EfD).
Her research interest includes Agricultural Economics, and Environmental and Natural Resources Economics. Her experience to date includes Geographical Indication and Product Marketing, Linkages between Household Food Production and Food Security, Forestry, and climate variability. She is particularly interested in small holder farmers in the African food system and their Environment. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, traveling, and being close to nature.
