About Us

This research network is a collaborative initiative between the International Center for Evaluation and Development (ICED) and the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Markets, Risk and Resilience (MRR Innovation Lab) at the University of California, Davis.  It is giving a voice to African researchers.

Mission

Our commitment is to strengthen the capacity of development researchers in the continent and global south countries, which will address challenges on proposal writing and build a community of researchers that can submit high-quality applications.

The goal is to support the capacity development of the African economic research community to fully engage and to take the lead in defining research priorities that lead to pathways to local policy impacts.

Vision

Our vision is to become a global leader in providing the best African researchers to generate evidence and development policies in their local countries.

Objectives

  • Build collaborative partnerships with institutions, experts, and like-minded individuals.

  • Intensive preparatory activities to meet research network inquiries. (Capacity building)

  • Increase potential and opportunities for the  research networks

Overview of the Network

This research network is a collaborative initiative between the International Center for Evaluation and Development (ICED) and the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Markets, Risk and Resilience (MRR Innovation Lab) at the University of California, Davis.  It is giving a voice to African researchers.

The Network is to provide opportunities to researchers to learn by doing, in collaboration with mentors and peers at the ALL-IN management institutions.  All interested researchers will be an independent cohort and then become part of the MRR Innovation Lab’s virtual research consortium, which has access and be able to participate in learning events, annual meetings, and training programs organized by ALL-IN Institutions. These ALL-IN events, along with other ad-hoc meetings as appropriate, will provide the opportunity to further enhance capacity, create opportunities for future areas of inquiry and both broaden and deepen research networks for all participants.  The Network will also circulate information on grant opportunities, giving participants the chance to form teams and, or provide peer feedback on grant applications.
